"You should sell those."

I learned to knit when expecting my first child. Four children and some years later, I’ve picked up many more crafting techniques (see examples: https://tinyurl.com/HouseOfMaeCraftGallery ). Pretty much all my work has been for family use or gifts. But if I had a dollar/euro/pound for every time someone told me “you should sell those”, I wouldn’t need to consider selling them! So, the time has come -- I’m ready to take all that good advice.

Having so many beautiful crafts to choose from, I couldn’t settle on just one to promote. That ruled out pre-making items and stocking an Etsy store. So, I'm continuing as I’ve done and will create in response to what people need. House of Mae Handcrafts is a Made-to-Order service, where I create your inspiration.

Terms of Sale

Complete Terms and Conditions are in development, but for now, here are the basics:

• Initial consultation is free.
• After a design, time frame and price are agreed, a non-refundable portion of the fee is due up front--
  • 50% if the project is straightforward and I can begin without further development of the idea.
  • 25% if I need to do research and practice to arrive at the final choice of materials and design. Then another 25% before commencing the project.
  • Balance paid before shipping. Prior to paying the balance of the fee, I will send photos for your approval.
• I reserve the right to decline any project suggestion/request.
• Remember, I’m only one artist, with only two hands, so there may be a wait time before I can commence a project. 
• All sales are final.
